What Your Joshua Tree Elopement Could Look Like
Here's a sample timeline—but we'll customize this to match your exact vision, whether you're sunrise people or golden hour lovers, having zero guests or 10 of your nearest & dearest.
3:30pm (hour 1): Arrival & Prep
We meet you at our first location—a secluded spot we've already scouted. You get dressed (we help with any last-minute styling), we talk through the plan, and ease into the day. No rush, no pressure.
Hidden Valley or Skull Rock Area
4:30pm (hour 2): Your Ceremony
Whether it's just you two reading vows or you've brought an officiant, we'll guide you to the perfect spot and then step back. We document everything candidly—the emotion, the landscape, the moment—without interfering.
Chosen ceremony location based on your preferences
5:30pm (hour 3): Explore & Adventure
This is where the magic happens. We move to 2-3 nearby locations—different rock formations, varied landscapes—and create both intimate portraits and editorial shots. We'll direct when needed but also leave space for you to just be together.
Multiple nearby locations within 5-10 min drive
6:30pm (hour 4): Golden Hour Glory
The light gets impossibly good. We chase the sunset, let you pop champagne, climb rocks or eat cake if you want, or just hold each other while the desert turns gold. These final 30-45 minutes always produce the most breathtaking images.

We have approximately 20 spots available across November-December (every Monday, Wednesday & Thursday). They typically book 3-9 months in advance, though we've had couples book last-minute and we've had dates sell out a year ahead. If you see a date that works, grab it.

You'll receive an immediate confirmation email with planning resources and a link to schedule your (optional) kickoff call. We'll design your timeline together, scout your locations, and make sure you feel completely prepared. You're not just booking a photographer—you're getting our full decade of experience planning adventurous elopements.

For ceremonies under 10 people, you typically don't need permits at most locations. We'll guide you through this during the planning process and recommend the best spots based on your group size. If permits are needed, we'll walk you through the application process, but don’t worry, it's straightforward.

Absolutely! We’ve done plenty of intimate weddings in Joshua Tree with anywhere from 5-25 people. Just let us know during the planning call so we can adjust the timeline and make sure we have time to capture group photos too.

We can add additional hours for $500/hour. Most couples find 4 hours is perfect for ceremony + portraits in 2-3 locations, but if you want to extend into full sunset or add more adventure, we're flexible.

Joshua Tree in November-December is typically gorgeous (60-70°F days), but weather can surprise us. For $500, you can add weather insurance—we'll block the following day as your backup. If conditions are truly dangerous (heavy rain, zero visibility), we'll photograph you the next day instead. If it's just "meh" weather, we work with it. Some of our favorite images happen in moody conditions.

Your 50% retainer is non-refundable, but we'll work with you if you need to move your date within November-December (subject to availability).
